Christmas 2021 Covid Restrictions
With the Government Covid-19 restrictions changing, we have received a number of messages from guests regarding what rules and regulations they need to follow in our facility.
With the restrictions that are required, we will still be able to operate as planned and will be able to proceed with our Christmas bookings. We do not reach the capacity required to check the COVID status of workers and customers, and face masks are not currently compulsory in hospitality settings such as ours.
We made the decision to cap our Christmas party nights at 150 guests earlier this year (our capacity is up to 300 people) to allow guests extra space, and we do have directional stickers around the facility. We also have multiple hand sanitising stations around the venue. If guests feel more comfortable wearing face coverings, they are welcome to do so.
The government has announced that England will move to Plan B in response to the risks of the Omicron variant. This means:
- from Friday 10 December, face coverings will be required by law in some public indoor settings, such as theatres and cinemas (but not in hospitality settings)
- from Monday 13 December, office workers who can work from home should do so
- from 6am on Wednesday 15 December, certain businesses and events will be required by law to check the COVID status of workers and customers using the NHS COVID Pass (NHS Covid Pass on the NHS App will become mandatory for entry into nightclubs and settings where large crowds gather – including unseated indoor events with 500 or more attendees, unseated outdoor events with 4,000 or more attendees and any event with 10,000 or more attendees). People will be able to demonstrate proof of two vaccine doses via the app. Having considered the evidence since the emergence of Omicron, proof of a negative lateral flow test will also be accepted.
To summarise, we will be proceeding with our party nights as planned.
Our priority remains to be the safety and wellbeing of our team and customers, and we will be following the news to react to any changes to the regulations as and when they are announced.
