Food Service Update
We have made the difficult decision to stop the Saturday Night Takeaway service. We have been operating on a purely voluntary basis since the lockdown was announced, and our small team of volunteers are exhausted.
It isn’t just the time on the Saturday morning, Saturday night or all day Sunday. There is also the prep time which takes place on Thursday and Friday. Some of our volunteers have worked on a Saturday from 8am – 9pm to help with the Match Day Packages, roast prep and Saturday Night Takeaway service! They have been an absolute blessing during this tough time.
We have decided to focus our efforts on the Match Day Packages instead. From the launch at the end of February, we have had such a high demand for the product that by dedicating more time, energy and fridge space, we will be able to increase how many we offer. We have also been trialling recipes to build the Match Day Package menu, and will be introducing other elements such as home-made Balti Pies too!
We have listened to feedback regarding the pasties, and have updated our menu so you can select if you want them delivered/collected hot, cold or frozen for your convenience.
We are still offering our Sunday Roast for delivery and collection which is always popular. Our team have refined methods so they are able to effectively increase production without compromising quality so we are able to serve more people each week. Gary has also been perfecting his gluten free Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese and stuffing recipe!
Our Frozen Cocktails are extremely popular, and we have had some people express their disappointment that these will not be available to purchase on a Saturday Night.
You can still order these for Saturday day time, and can simply store them in your freezer at home until the evening (if you can wait that long!).
