PAFC Auction to Help Staff Fund

THE second half of the Argyle Sporting Memorabilia Auction is underway – with all proceeds going to help unpaid Home Park staff.
Lead Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has said that all the money raised from the ebay auction will go towards helping the Argyle staff, who are keeping the club running despite having been paid only one month’s wages this year.
Only this week, some staff were reported to be at breaking-point as their finances have become so stretched over the past few months.
All the items in the auction were donated to the club by Argyle supporters and the Pilgrims’ other brothers and sisters in the football world, from the Barclay’s Premier League downwards.
Since then, many more items have been received from the club’s friends in the football world – only this week, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson sent four match-worn shirts from Red Devils’ stars like Nemenja Vidic and Paul Scholes.
These new items, together with lots from the auction that did not make their reserve price on the night, are now being posted on online auction site Ebay.
