Trust food bank day
Category: News
After such a success last year, the Argyle Fans Trust will once again be collecting food (on 8th December) for the Plymouth food bank; an organisation who help people in crisis within our local community, especially during the festive season.
The Green Taverners are only too pleased to be able to assist the Trust by holding a collection point for your donations of food outside the Taverners Suite.
Starting from the home match against Chesterfield (24th November) and our home match against York (8th December), a Christmas tree will be situated just outside the entrance to the Taverners Suite, to enable you to place your kind donation in the boxes that will be provided.
In particular, the food bank would be grateful to receive any of the following non perishable foods:
Milk (UHT or powdered)
Sugar (500g)
Fruit juice (carton)
Soup
Pasta sauces
Sponge puddings (tinned)
Tomatoes (tinned)
Cereals
Rice pudding (tinned)
Tea bags / Instant coffee
Instant mash potato
Rice / pasta
Tinned meat / fish
Tinned vegetables
Tinned fruit
Jam
Biscuits or snack bars
All donations, from both the Taverners Suite and outside the Devonport End on 8th December, will then be collected by the Trust to hand over to the Plymouth food bank.
