For more than a decade Plymouth Comedy Club has been bringing in the very best that the UK and international comedy circuit has to offer. From humble beginnings at the Citibus Social Club Plymouth’s home grown comedy night has gone from strength to strength. Every year the December Christmas Cracker comedy club has been a highlight of the year and this year won’t be any different. In fact, having missed last year’s Christmas gig for some reason, this year’s going to be a double headliner night!
Our first featured act is the Antipodean force of nature known only as John Robertson. This pioneering act, the genius behind the award winning Dark Room interactive show, has to be experienced live to be truly understood. A wild, unpredictable ride that’s never less than hilarious. A welcome return for a true Plymouth Comedy Club favourite.
Our second featured act is the fantastic Ben Norris, a man whose face and voice will be instantly recognisable to fans of Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Mock The Week and many more. Described by no less a star than Jason Manford as ‘Unbelievably brilliant’, Ben isn’t just a comedian’s comedian. With his ascerbic wit, turn of phrase and knack for improvisation he’s a hit with every audience too.
With support provided by Jane Hill and resident MC Chris Brooker’s hand at the tiller it’s shaping up to be an unmissable night. Come treat yourself, treat your friends… Have an early Christmas present that’s all for yourself.
