Since Plymouth Comedy Club’s humble beginnings at the Citibus Social club over a decade ago it’s had the privilege of hosting some of the finest comedians in the business. From all across the country and, indeed, the world they’ve come to entertain and leave audiences gasping with laughter.
All across this time there’s one particular name that’s stood out. One particular comedian that’s captured everyone’s heart. One particular comedian of whom we’re asked over and over again “When is he coming back?”
His name is Sol Bernstein, a living a legend of the global stage and the oldest performing Jewish comedian in the world. Combining the classic brilliance of a Jackie Mason with cutting edge wit and observations this sensation has torn the house down every time. Anyone that’s seen Sol doesn’t need to be told. Anyone that hasn’t simply must experience him live.
If that wasn’t reason enough then the night will also be part of an ongoing fundraising effort by club co-founder Brian Cross with profits going to benefit St Luke’s Hospice, Chestnut Appeal, the Vranch School, McMillan Cancer & Parkinson’s UK. A stunning night of comedy with the added bonus of making a huge difference to so many people.
Support is provided by local legend Luke Honnoraty as well as Ashton-Under-Lyne’s finest export Liam Pickford and the night will be held together by resident MC Chris Brooker.
